Solar Panels

Photovoltaic solar energy is proposed as a solution to reduce CO2 emissions, each kilowatt of solar energy generated no longer emits 0.311 Kg of CO2 into the atmosphere.

For this reason, at LUQUE ECOLOGICO, continuing with our permanent concern for the environment, we have considered that we can thus help to minimize CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and in 2011 we considered the placement of a photovoltaic panel system on the roof of our warehouse.

It is the system with those characteristics of the largest size in the entire area, being able to generate a power of 35 Kwp and reducing CO2 emissions by up to 20%.

In 2020 we are going to carry out another installation of solar panels on deck in order to be almost self-sufficient throughout the year (82%), so we will further reduce our carbon footprint. The installation in question will be 12.21 Kwp and will have 2 supply points for electric vehicles.

In any case, and as we have been doing until this year, the electrical energy that we have to acquire will come from 100% renewable (“green”) energy.

On our farms we are also implementing the installation of solar panels for pumping irrigation water, which will also contribute to reducing our carbon footprint.
